LITTLE SKI HILL | Uphill Travel Policy

It is your responsibility to read and be familiar with Payette Lakes Ski Club’s Uphill Travel Policy for Little Ski Hill prior to using the mountain for uphill travel.

This policy MUST be adhered to at all times while on Little Ski Hill.

Little Ski Hill’s Uphill Travel Policy is for HUMANS and DOGS using the ski hill outside of operating hours.

Uphill Travel is generally permitted in the mornings, prior to Little Ski Hill opening for business.

This time frame typically is from 8:00am-12:00am daily, in the winter months.

Uphill Travelers are expected to stay completely to the edge of ski trails, yield to and avoid all mountain machinery, and follow the “Skier’s Responsibility Code” at all times. Uphill Travelers are NOT permitted to use Outback Terrain Park or Race Run or any terrain park features at any time. Little Ski Hill asks that all Uphill Travelers respect the work of our grooming crew by skiing down the same route used to travel uphill or by skiing down entirely off-piste.

Sledding is NOT permitted at Little Ski Hill at any time.

Uphill Travelers should be aware that maintenance operations can occur on Little Ski Hill during all non-operating hours. Machinery can be found working on Little Ski Hill at any time. The goal of this policy is to raise awareness of mountain operations while allowing for outdoor recreationists to access to public lands.

Dogs are permitted on Little Ski Hill during Uphill Travel times. You MUST clean up after your dog, keep your dog under control at all times, and prevent any trail damage from our furry friends. Little Ski Hill staff reserves the right to dismiss future use by certain pets at any point.

Uphill Travel may be further restricted or suspended for work related purposes at any time.

Your cooperation with this policy is vital to maintaining a safe balance between work and play on Little Ski Hill.
